Anthropic Nears First Quarterly Profit — $10.9B Q2 Projected

Here's the headline that changes everything: Anthropic expects $10.9 billion in Q2 revenue — more than double its $4.8 billion Q1. That would push the company to an estimated $559 million operating profit.

Let that sink in. Two years ago, Anthropic was burning cash faster than a rocket engine. Now they're on the verge of profitability, driven by one thing: Claude.

Software developers aren't just experimenting anymore. They're deploying. Enterprise teams are running Claude's top-tier Mythos model to hunt vulnerabilities in production code. The demand isn't theoretical — it's revenue.

$1.25 Billion/Month for SpaceX's Colossus

To handle that demand, Anthropic signed a deal that makes your cloud bill look like a rounding error: $1.25 billion per month to rent SpaceX's Colossus data centers. That's 220,000+ NVIDIA GPUs across 300 megawatts of compute.

The deal runs through May 2029. Total value: roughly $45 billion.

Claude Code v2.1.146: /simplify Is Now /code-review

For daily Claude Code users, the most actionable update is the slash command rename: /simplify is now /code-review. Same functionality, clearer name, and a new feature — effort levels.

• Max 5x ($100/mo): ~50 → 75 hours of Opus weekly
• Max 20x ($200/mo): ~200 → 300 hours of Opus weekly
